Eye Diseases and Conditions

Eye diseases and conditions are disorders in the structure and function of the eyes and visual systems. They may be mild, intermediate, or severe. Most eye diseases affect specific parts of the eyes like the cornea, conjunctiva, and retina. A few others affect the entire eyeball.

Eye diseases announce their presence with symptoms such as blurry vision, redness, pain, swelling, itching, tearing, light sensitivity, and more. However, many eye diseases do not show symptoms. Hence, people who have them are often not aware until they begin to experience vision loss.

To reduce the risk of eye disease complications, come to the clinic for your routine eye checks at least once in a year or two, and also consult the eye doctor when you have eye symptoms that are severe or do not resolve within 48 hours.
