Vernal keratoconjunctivitis is the inflammation of the conjunctiva and the cornea caused by exposure to allergens such as pollens, dust, and chemicals. It is usually seasonal, occurring mostly in the dry season and tends to affect young boys more. In some cases, the normally white sclera changes to milky or brown colour.
